“We cannot build our own future without helping others to build theirs.”     -Bill Clinton

As I move through the process of inviting people into my upcoming program, I’m reaching out to friends and colleagues quite a bit more than usual. I’ve been asking them if they’ll help spread the word by emailing and posting to their lists, talking about my material on their shows, and using any medium at their disposal to let people know about the event.

What I’ve noticed is that the people I know are FAR MORE GENEROUS than I could have ever though possible; more than I could have dared to dream. This has led me to conclude that, since there’s nothing particularly special about me, I’m surrounded by a spirit of cooperation. People want to help. That’s who they are.

So, what are you up to in your life that you’re going at alone? Is there a chance others might be able to support you in it? Take a moment and breathe in the spirit of cooperation around you. Revel in the sense of community that’s there for the asking. You’re not alone, and there are people (myself included) who want to help you succeed!
