I’ve been preparing a presentation for one of my clients over the last couple days. Usually, I’m speaking to a sales team or a group of customer service reps or an association of individuals who all do the same job. In this case, I’m speaking with the entire staff of multiple offices, so the individuals do a wide variety of jobs.
The substance of my talk is on attaining greater peace and achievement using the tools of UnHypnosis. We’ll discuss distinctions about success, perception, transformation, and presence. Each person will walk away more empowered, more optimistic, and with tools to increase productivity and decrease stress. But what’s the benefit to the group as a whole?
A Magical Workplace.
Have you ever walked into a store, a company, or any group of people and known INSTANTLY that you wanted to stay there, hang around, do business with them, and refer others? If you’re at all sensitive, the answer is yes. Most of us can sense our environments. We can pick up remarkable amounts of information from intangible cues; we read the energy of the room.
Creating that kind of space is easy, and it’s what this work is all about. My goal is to empower individuals, but also to create a space in which deep connections are a natural consequence of being in that environment. A room full of UnHypnotized people is a thing to behold. Imagine being in an environment where EVERYBODY is happy, glad to be there, and committed to the transformation of everyone who enters that space.
Living that kind of commitment is vastly superior to just showing up. We spend more than half our waking hours at work. Wouldn’t it be better if that time were filled with aliveness; free of stress, fear, conflict, and crisis? Wouldn’t it be better if we KNEW that our presence there made a difference; that we were actually working toward the empowerment of everyone we come across?
You probably know the story of the brick makers who were interviewed by a reporter. Most were working sloppily and begrudgingly; heads bowed, bodies slumped. When asked what they were doing, they said, “Making bricks.” One brick maker, however, was working with joy and reverence; whistling happily as he worked. When asked what he was doing, the brick maker beamed, “I’m building a cathedral!”
