“For all sad words of tongue and pen, The saddest are these, ‘It might have been’.” -John Greenleaf Whittier
Have you ever said, “I can’t believe I waited so long to…”? Why do you think you did wait? In the end, most of the things you’ve thought about doing probably were worth doing. And there’s far more pain involved with failing to take action and missing an opportunity than in taking the wrong action. Sure, the latter can be problematic, but most actions eventually lead you closer to where you want to go. Inaction leads nowhere but to oblivion.
There’s nothing sadder than knowing you had a chance to make a positive change in your life, but you didn’t take it because of fear or inertia. Just a small shift in thinking can get you into action, and once you are, there’s a high likelihood that you’ll unleash all kinds of energy, circumstances, and opportunities that you never would have dreamed possible had you just continued sitting on your hands.
Raise your hand. Take a chance. Make a mistake. Shake off inertia. But above all…MAKE A DECISION!
