“A cynic is someone who knows the price of everything, and the value of nothing.”   -Oscar Wilde

Are you the kind of person who takes pride in knowing how everything works? Do you nod knowingly at every magic trick you’ve ever seen? Do you rush to explain why sunsets are orange? Does the world hold very little wonder for you? Or maybe, you know somebody who fits that description.

While knowledge and understanding are powerful traits, the attachment to knowing is a severe detriment to happiness. Aside from the fact that nobody likes a “know-it-all,” there are consequences to you personally for insisting on explanations. You diminish your capacity for wonder and astonishment when you make knowing everything your highest value. There are times when you’re better off simply observing what is with appreciation and enjoyment. Not everything needs to be figured out!

Join us for this week’s recording on the topic of appreciating the unknowable. You can listen above, and then please share your comments…and make sure to click the Twitter and Facebook links to let others know how you liked this program. Thanks!

PS. This week, I’d like for you to share your biggest challenge in the area of staying positive. What’s holding you back? How I can help you? If you share, I promise to respond! LOVE YOU ALL!
